The Direct Account Codes frame allows you to create and maintain direct account codes and descriptions for use in billing activities. The codes can be associated with Departments and Units, labor and inventory transactions.
On the Company Definition frame, you can set up a validated account segment list so that when a new account code is created, the user must enter it in a valid format.
Double-click in the Direct Account field. The Direct Account Number Entry Screen displays.
Enter a unique value in the COMPANY field. Must be a least two characters. This is a required field.
Enter a unique value in the COMPANY2 field. This is a required field.
Enter a LOCTEST or select the Magnifying icon to select from the General Location List.
Select OK. The Action Required window displays.
Select Create to create the new code.
Enter a Description of the Direct Account code. Limited to 30 characters.
Select SAVE.
Note: The Direct Account code is limited to 125 characters.
Enter an existing Direct Account code or double-click to select from the List of Values.
Modify the direct account record, as applicable.
Select SAVE.
Enter an existing Direct Account code or double-click to select from the List of Values.
Select DELETE. The Action Required window displays.
Select Delete to confirm the deletion. The record is no longer available for use.
Note: You can delete a Direct Account Code provided it is not in use on any other tables in the system. Otherwise you will not be able to delete the code.
